What does a forward deployed engineer do?

An FDE connects engineering with customer work. They clarify the problem, build or adapt software in the customer context, and use feedback to improve the result.

How should I prepare for an FDE interview?

Prepare one clear example of a vague problem you clarified, a working solution you shipped, and evidence that it helped. Practice explaining tradeoffs to both technical and nontechnical people.

Which videos should I watch first?

Start with “Forward Deployed Engineering 101” in Become an FDE. Then follow the three paths in order: learn the role, build the solution, and prove the result.
